GENERAL INFORMATION
REGISTRATION
Registration opens January 1, 2024 and closes April 1, 2024.
Registrations received on or before April 1, 2024 will be guaranteed a team placement. Registrations received after April 1, 2024 will be placed on a first come, first served waiting list and charged a $50.00 administration fee. Late registrants will not be guaranteed a team.
Our online registration accepts: Visa, MasterCard, Visa Debit, MasterCard Debit.
In-person and cash registrations are not accepted.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Application for funding to third party subsidy programs or First Nation Bands must be made by the applicant. It typically takes two months to process an application. Please enter the registration number on your SMBA player registration. Full payment will need to be submitted from all subsidy applicants upon registering to play with SMBA. Once subsidy funding is received, SMBA will refund the received amount respectively.

EVALUATIONS
Evaluations night will take place outside at Sinclair Yards in May 2024. Dates and times are TBA. Evaluations will be held for 9U, 11U, 13U and 16U. Failure to attend the evaluation will result in the player being subject to a random team assignment. Evaluation schedules will be posted on the website a week prior to evaluations.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Junior T-Ball to 16U:
SMBA will make every effort to accommodate special requests however, please note that there are no guarantees that all requests can be accommodated. Special requests considered are limited to: a player wishing to move up or down a division or playing on the same team as a sibling.
Girls:
All female players are eligible to play down a division as an over-ager. (ex: a 12 year old may play one more year in 11U). Please request this in the special requests.
Open League:
Please identify your team name, team manager, or a group of players you wish to play with.
SOO BLACK SOX
Tryouts for the 2024 9U, 11U, 13U, and 15U Black Sox teams took place in the fall and teams have been chosen. Tryouts for the 18U Black Sox will take place in the spring. All Black Sox players must register with SMBA.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Please consider volunteering as a coach or as a league convener. Our association runs strictly on volunteers and is always welcoming the help in all areas. We will approve volunteer hours for high school students. Check our executive page for vacancies.
SPONSORS
We need team sponsors! As a sponsor, your business logo will be printed on the jerseys, the team name will be in the standings and schedules, and your logo will appear on the website.
If you are a business owner or know a business owner looking to get great exposure to hundreds of people per night, please contact us immediately to arrange this. Other advertising opportunities are available through banners on fences and scoreboards. Please email [email protected].

REFUND POLICY
SMBA will only refund 50% of registration fees up until May 1. No refunds will be given after May 1 and late fees are non-refundable.

*New for 2024*: Our 2024 registration system is now powered by Sportsheadz. If you have an account with Sportsheadz from another sport, you must use that account to log in and register. If you do not have a Sportsheadz account, please create one to register and add your children as players/participants.
Note: In the past, we used SportsEngine for our registration system. Your SportsEngine account will not work with Sportsheadz.
